In His Own Words: Jerry Bryan, Miami-Dade Transit


Miami-Dade Transit is one of the largest transit agencies in the US and serves a county of 2.75 million people with 90 routes and 800 vehicles.

We spoke with Jerry Bryan, Miami-Dade Transit’s Chief of Service Planning and Scheduling, to hear how transit planning has changed in the last 20 years — and how new technology is streamlining both short- and long-term planning in Miami.

“Remix took what was always a laborious process,” Bryan says, “and turned it into an extremely simple, dynamic method of doing both on-the-fly and detailed service planning.”
